Analyzing Complications and By-Products of Zotrim
Zotrim was originally created in the 80’s (it wasn’t called Zotrim then) and after several improvements and lots of testing it was put on the weight loss market in the UK. Inventor Lasse Hessel and biochemist Trevor Jarman were the main forces behind tweaking and testing this product that is now marketed by Natures Remedies. Zotrim is known for its ability to suppress hunger and increase the metabolism. But what are some of the side effects from the three main ingredients Yerba Mate, Guarana, and Damiana?
It’s very well documented that the clinical studies performed on Zotrim did not produce any side effects that could be confirmed. But the ingredients Yerba Mate, Guarana, and Damiana do have documented side effects in some users. Before we start with our findings, you should know that the side effects we are about to list were caused by a high concentrated doses and prolonged use of Yerba Mate, Guarana, and damiana. The doses of these ingredients found in Zotrim are significantly less. Not everyone can tolerate herbal supplements so it’s very important to check with your doctor before trying this or any other supplement.
Zotrim Warnings
Zotrim does have caffeine and some unwanted side effects of caffeine include nausea, trouble sleeping, headaches, and upset stomach for some people. Those with a very low tolerance for caffeine or xanthines should think twice before taking Zotrim (or start out in small doses). The creators of Zotrim warn that people 16 years old or younger should not use this supplement. Although the Zotrim website says it is OK for diabetics to take, doing a search online revealed numerous warnings to diabetics to avoid products containing yerba mate, guarana, and damiana.
The danger of the three major ingredients hasn’t been determined for pregnant or nursing mothers. Doctors always encourage nursing or expecting mothers to limit the amount of caffeine they consume daily. Zotrim is known to contain at least two different sources of caffeine. So as a general rule of thumb, this supplement should be avoided by pregnant or nursing mothers. Additionally, those that are allergic to plants, have heart conditions, high blood pressure, smoke, suffer from anxiety, bleeding conditions, have osteoporosis, heavy alcohol drinkers, or have glaucoma should check with their doctors as well.
Yerba Mate, Guarana, Damiana Side Effects
Yerba Mate has been linked to a few kinds of cancers including bladder and kidney cancer. Mixing these ingredients with other diet ingredients such as ephedra can significantly increase the chances of stroke and changes in blood pressure. Any other supplement containing a stimulant should not be combined with Zotrim. People that have combined Yerba Mate, Guarana, and Damiana have reported negative drug relations. Fore example, stimulants in these ingredients have been known to affect the way the following medications work: blood circulation medicine, anti-depressants, nicotine, antibiotics, and estrogen to name a few. As a side note, people are told to stop using damiana at least two weeks before surgery.
Don’t misinterpret this article. Zotrim is a solid option for losing weight especially with all of its clinical trials and testing. The point is, you shouldn’t put anything into your body without checking checked by a doctor first. At the end of the day, you have to know what’s best for your body.
